Rigour and vocation transforming talent: KREAS Foundation celebrates World Teachers’ Day

Within the framework of World Teachers’ Day, the KREAS Foundation highlights the fundamental role of its teaching team as a bridge between academic excellence and the reality of the business sector.

Today, October 5, we celebrate World Teachers’ Day, a date of special significance for the KREAS Foundation. In our training model, the teaching staff and trainers do not merely transmit theoretical content but act as the backbone connecting academic learning with the operational reality of the business community.

From the perspective of educational research and applied pedagogy in both Higher Vocational Education and Training (Higher VET) and the continuing professional development of active practitioners, meaningful learning in high-demand environments requires methodologies such as Challenge-Based Learning (CBL), active mentoring, and practical case study resolution. This scientific and applied approach enables our teaching team to guide students and industry professionals not only in acquiring and updating technical knowledge but also in developing key transversal skills (soft skills) such as critical thinking, analytical capacity, decision-making, and teamwork.

Two strategic pillars, one shared commitment to excellence

The KREAS teaching staff stands out for its dual role as active industry experts and talent facilitators across two key areas for the region’s economic development, addressing both initial qualifications and the upskilling and reskilling of corporate teams:

  • Technical and Agrifood Area: Educators who ensure the utmost rigour in food safety, biotechnology, quality, sustainability, and emerging sector technologies (FoodTech), preparing future technicians and providing continuous training for industry professionals in the face of new production and industrial processing challenges.

  • Marketing and Commercial Management Area: Professionals who empower students in market strategy, commercial research, digitalisation, negotiation, and sales management, delivering the business vision required to make products and services competitive in a globalised environment.

The value of Dual Vocational Training and local impact

This combination of technical rigour and market vision is what makes the KREAS educational model a recognised success.

The teaching team, coordinators, and tutors at the center work in close partnership with company mentors, constantly adapting training programme activities to the real needs of the labour market and ensuring high employability rates. Furthermore, the KREAS teaching team responds with agility and flexibility to company innovation demands, delivering training that is directly applicable in the workplace. This synergy delivers direct value to the competitiveness of la Garrotxa and Catalonia as a whole.

On this World Teachers’ Day, the KREAS Foundation would like to express our deepest gratitude to our entire teaching team for their dedication, professional standards, and passion for guiding and nurturing tomorrow’s professionals.
